TOEFL WORKSHOP argUMent 2014.
Do
you what is the second biggest argUMent held annually? No? hmm..Ah yes? What is
it? yeah, You are right..it is TOEFL WORKSHOP! *big applause for those who
answers correctly! Second question, what do TOEFL stands for? ‘correct again,
TOEFL stands for Test of English as Foreign Language. Every year, argUMent held
this event to help both students and society to increase their TOEFL score
since it is a requirement for applying scholarship, graduation, and even jobs.
This
year, argUMent TOEFL Workshop (TW) was held three days in row which is 24th
to 26th May 2014. Unlike the previous TW, this event was held
outside of campus—Gramedia Bookstore Hall. The chief of committee is Muhammad
Nurrahmanto from Economic faculty. The coordinators are Desy (Ceremonial
devision), Bunga(Kestari devision), Rella(Human relation devision), Jazy
(Publication devision), and Mia (Refreshment devision). I have to admit that
this TW started specially and ended spectacularly. It can be seen from the
number of participants that joined the event. Approximately, 98 participants
filled Gramedia Hall since day one till day three. How could they not? The
speakers who deliver the materials are very professional and commonly referred
to presenting TOEFL. They are Mr. Made Sudjana, Mrs. Santi Farmasari, and
lastly Mr. Mahurni. All of the committee was very grateful because of the
success of this event even though there were problem here and there.
The
participants were given both pretest and posttest in every TOEFL sections such
as Listening, Reading, and Structure-Written Expression (SWE). Therefore, they
would be accustomed with the type of test. By the end of day three, the
committee announced that the prediction test would be conducted in Language
center on Wednesday and Saturday, 28th and 30th of May
2014. The only conclusion I can make is that argUMent TOEFL Workshop 2014 is a
Big Success and Congratulation to every committee involved! Fighting~
