Organization Management Training (OMT)


 “YOUR FIRST STEP IN THE LEADERSHIP WAY ^v^”


Organization Management Training (OMT) was held by Argument on March 10th, 2013 at the A Building, Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, Mataram University. This Training aimed to improve the knowledge of argUMenters about organization management. It not only gave an explanation about how to manage an Organization but also to share many amazing experiences as a motivation for the entire participant. The spirit of harmony inside made the family of argUMent feel much closer. OMT 2013 had a theme “Your first step in the leadership way”, which served 3 topics. Those were analysis SWOT, Leadership and Administration.
 Analysis SWOT became an opening training. SWOT stood for Strength, Weakness, Opportunities and Threats. SWOT Analysis is useful for identify both of positive and negative things inside an organization or the events held by argUMent. It also shows us how to find the external factors (Opportunities and Threats), developing a full awareness of organization situation can help with both strategic planning and decision-making. SWOT Analysis discussed by Ustadz Syawal. Participants were divided into several groups and each group analyzed about NTBSDC, which is one of the best programs of argUMent. After each group discussed the topic, they present the result of their representative group discussion, so that, all group had a strategic steps to enhance NTBSDC later.
The second topic was Leadership by Mr. Sony Ariawan who was president of argUMent 2011 and MAWAPRES in the same year. Leadership discussion cheers the participants up, because Mr. Sony was so vibrant when he presented the materials. Besides, he filled the training with games to make argUMenters wasn’t bored with the material delivered although it’s held at sleepiness. Leadership material explained avariety of characteristics that made us become true leader deeply, a   leader should focus on his/her goals “Leader by heart and leader by God”. The attraction of leader is divided into two inside and outside capacity discussion. The outside capacity characteristics of a leader are neat, friendly, courteous and brave. A good leader attitude appeared by these aspects. Then, inside capacity characteristics are workship, knowledge, Wisdom and mentality (self confidence). The opportunity to being a leader is not only for men but also for women. All of those leaders inside capacity characteristics have to be supported by moral values and strong religious. Mentality is the basic of the leader brave souls. A leader must be fast moving and also immediately decided without much time to think about all sorts of result when he/she received an offer or an opportunity.
A leader of the view argUMent, internally are 3B, Be patient, Be happy, Be a Family, because the leader of argUMent can lead and unite followers, all of Members argUMent is a family, leader of argUMent must be friendly, and in external (“SEBAR”)  that speak up, Brave, to be leader required a courage, courage begins with mentality, and the most effective way to train the mental is to take opportunities and appropriately, and next point are Active, is active is all sides, in his/ her duties a leader, his/her duties as a university student, and others, and the finally point is Representative.
All of things explained by the speaker about which the life has two sides, external and internal, from two sides, each of which has a range of characteristics if possessed by a leader is true, and remember!! That failure will due to two things, wasting a lot of time in thinking without moving and acting as well as move quickly without thinking, so take a decision and opportunities, appropriately also and in accordance with we want, and be a real leader!! Keep your spirit argUMenters….^v^
Then third Topic, Administration, discussed by Mr. Dedy Kurniawan. He was president argUMent 2012. Administration season discussed about procedure to make letter of submission and letter of agreement, especially to ask provost’s signature purpose for an organization even. The explanation about good writing was very comprehensive from the masthead to the end of a letter part and how to put the signatures as addition. Many argUMenters asked question about both of procedure writing and perforation in a letter. Because administration still a main problem when an organization will make any event, especially for those who are be CO and members of Kestari in each event. Then, mmm…. Remember if you heard Dor dor .. You must say “gak kena-gak kena”, and what would you say if you heard BOOM ...?, ^v^ (just think back to the games of leadership topics from Mr. Sony Ariawan).
